Travel to the Pink City of India - Rajasthan Jaipur Tour

Interestingly, Jaipur, India's first planned city, was designed on the principles of Vaastu. Commonly known as the Pink City of India, Jaipur was founded by the ruler of Amber, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The color "pink" associated with the name of the city is of great historical importance. It is believed that when Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh greeted the Prince of Wales in 1876, he used the color pink in the construction of various building materials as it symbolizes Indian hospitality.

Jaipur has been home to a rich cultural heritage for many years and is best known for its forts, palaces, monuments, festivals, fairs and handicrafts. As well as being a major tourist destination for Rajasthan Tourism, it is part of the Golden Triangle Tour and if you are planning a trip to Rajasthan as well, you must be ready to explore the city to the full as it has numerous things to see and do to do.
